Membership recognises a clear progression, from Student through to Fellow — the highest grade of the Institute.
The progression ladder
- Student → Craftsmen / Technician / Licentiate / Technologist → Graduate → Corporate → Fellow
Each grade carries its own rights, obligations and annual dues. Advancing a grade is handled through Member Upgrades, subject to qualification, practice experience and, where applicable, the professional examination.
